Book 1: A Woodland Dance Party(2024)
The Princess has been groomed by her overbearing parents and a team of tutors to fit into royal life. But everything changes when she befriends a forest yeti who shares her love of books and music. Together, they host dance parties in the treetops, spinning 80s and 90s vinyl and celebrating their differences.
As pressure mounts to conform, the Princess must decide: will she choose to fit in or stand out?
Book 2: DJ Yeti and the Full Moon Party(2025)
Born in the Arctic to a snow yeti papa and a bear-wolf mama, DJ Yeti never quite fit in. So he packed his records, grabbed his disco ball, and slipped away into the night.
When the Princess brings him back to his frozen homeland, her friendship sets the stage for him to shine. When he drops the beat, the Arctic stirs and a winter rave sparkles to life—a place where he’s finally celebrated for everything that makes him who he is.

On her birthday, the Princess is entrusted to lead the kingdom. Kendal Grey is the author of A Woodland Dance Party, DJ Yeti and the Full Moon Party, and Happy Birthday, Queen Princess—modern fairytales that celebrate friendship, inclusion, and the feral magic of childhood.
Inspired by her years in the California redwoods, Hawaiʻi, and her creative rebirth in Metro Detroit, her stories blend the joyful rebellion of 80s and 90s music with fairytale magic—filled with mischief, wonder, and the belief that today's children will change the world.
She is currently at work on the fourth and final book in The Dandelion Kingdom series, a summer adventure set in Hawaiʻi.
Liz Emirzian is an artist and illustrator based in Stratford, Ontario. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Design with a major in Illustration and loves collaborating with authors to bring imaginative worlds to life through color, warmth, and heart.
