Book 1: A Woodland Dance Party (2024)
The Princess has been groomed by her overbearing parents and a team of tutors to fit into royal life. But everything changes when she befriends a forest yeti who shares her love of books and music. Together, they host dance parties in the treetops, spinning 80s and 90s vinyl and celebrating their differences.
As pressure mounts to conform, the Princess must decide: will she choose to fit in or stand out?
Book 2: DJ Yeti and the Full Moon Party (2025)
Born in the Arctic to a snow yeti papa and a bear-wolf mama, DJ Yeti never quite fit in. So he packed his records, grabbed his disco ball, and slipped away into the night.
When the Princess brings him back to his frozen homeland, her friendship sets the stage for him to shine. When he drops the beat, the Arctic stirs and a winter rave sparkles to life—a place where he’s finally celebrated for everything that makes him who he is.
Book 3: Happy Birthday, Queen Princess! (2026)
On her 18th birthday, the Princess is given the keys to the castle—at last trusted to lead with wisdom and grace. But instead of ruling alone, she makes a bold and unexpected choice: to share her power. She invites the entire kingdom—people and animals alike—to help shape a fairer, kinder world.
What follows is a glowing celebration of courage, community, and cake . . . with glow-stick squirrels, breakdancing bears, and DJ Yeti spinning under the stars.

Kendal Grey is the author of A Woodland Dance Party and DJ Yeti and the Full Moon Party—joyful, music-infused picture books that celebrate friendship, inclusion, and the wild, glowing magic of childhood.
Inspired by her years in the California redwoods, Hawaiʻi, and her creative rebirth in Metro Detroit, Kendal blends nostalgic rhythm and wonder for kids with sly winks for grown-ups. Her stories pulse with the heart of 90s Detroit—modern fairytales where vinyl crackles and nights end with a dance party.
Two new titles are on the way: Happy Birthday, Queen Princess! (Spring 2026) and a summer sequel set in Hawaiʻi (Summer 2026).
Kendal resides in Michigan with her daughter, husband, and mischievous guinea pig, Waffles.
Liz Emirzian is an artist and illustrator based in Stratford, Ontario. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Design with a major in Illustration and loves collaborating with authors to bring imaginative worlds to life through color, warmth, and heart.
